The Fujikura 90S+ offers even more automatic functions for splicing. The splicer automatically detects when fiber is placed in the clamp and starts the splicing process automatically. Once splicing is complete, the splicer’s clamps open automatically, but the fiber is still held in place by a spring-loaded arm, which is released as soon as the fiber is lifted. This ensures the fiber remains in place, preventing it from jumping out or breaking.
The Fujikura 90S+ features Bluetooth communication, allowing it to communicate directly with the Fujikura CT-50 cleaver. It can read how many cleaves have been made in each position, and you get an easy schematic overview directly on the screen. If the wheel on the cleaver needs to be turned, this can be done directly from the splicer’s screen without having to touch the cleaver.
The splicer’s intelligent fiber holders can easily switch from splicing raw fiber to holding a loose tube pigtail.
All fibers are identified in the Auto program and are spliced as core alignment. This ensures all fibers are optimally spliced. This applies to both old installed fibers as well as the newer G657 fibers, which are becoming more commonly used as standard fibers.
